Organisation & Culture Innovation

Organisation & Culture Innovation

Day 2 – 29 April 2020 | 11:00 – 15:30

(In parallel with EX & Employee Journey Innovation Track)

People are the heart of all organizations and all transformations—even those that feature the most complex technologies available. In order to get the most out of HR’s new digital mandate, it is essential that the organisation leverages the innovative potential of talented employees and possesses the cultural blueprint that allows them to flourish. In this track, we’ll discuss the complex challenge of how to create an innovative organisation that also possesses a culture of resilience and humanity. Technologies can be innovative—but all innovation can be nurtured in environment that allows for healthy experimentation, agility, competition, and personal growth.

“We have always done it this way.” “It’s too risky.” There are many reasons for an organization not to change and fall prey to its own inertia. Your experience may even validate that only 30% of transformations succeed. At Novartis we knew unleashing the power of our people was critical to future success. Before asking our employees to embrace change, we decided to embrace change first and rethink our approach based on current research in behavioural science, a design thinking approach, and generally a less hierarchical take on leadership.
